Data Architect Role.

• Data Architect working with major Relational Databases using MicroStrategy or OOP PHP and HTML/CSS (SQL / MySql or AS400).
• Business data mining from Data lakes, Database Integration and Database Administration.
• Identify relevant data sources and align data management with the organisational data strategy.
• Oversee migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Design end-to-end data warehouse solutions to meet business needs within the context of a broader solution implementation.
• Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction.
• Provide self-service reporting platforms to the entire business. Ensure all data within the Data Warehouse is available to end users for standerdised and ad-hoc reporting.

Data Architect Functions.

• Data Modelling (Logical and Physical), ETL, complex query authoring,and enterprise reporting tools, resilient and scalable data architecture.
• Design, develop, maintain, and document Data Warehouse objects, servers, and processes/procedures to enable effective self-service reporting, and best practice design and management.
• Create Data Models, Hierarchies, attributes, facts, metrics, filters, cubes, reports, dashboards etc. Set up user and group management and folder security policies.
• Design and build highly scalable, automated ETL processes for data warehousing. Experience in Datastage and JD Edwards.
• Create innovative and informative analyses that result in end users making the best data driven decisions.
• Create Data Monitoring Dashboards and Alerts for system self-monitoring and prompting when failures occur or when data deviates from standard metrics.
• Maintenance, upkeep, and continued development of solutions. Update service platform software, manage change release on test server, and move to production.
